5. Jose Gimenez
One of the many areas that need to be fixed for next year is the defence, to be more precise the centre backs. Chelsea legend John Terry looks set to leave the club next season because of not being offered a new contract and Kurt Zouma looks set to miss the first few months of next season because of the horrific injury he picked up. All of a sudden they're in even bigger trouble than before.
Gary Cahill and Matt Miazga are the other options left at centre-back. While Cahill’s performance has been suspect all season, Miazga does not have enough experience to be a regular starter.
Chelsea are in need of at least 1 world class centre-back for next year and Giminez could be the right choice. The highly rated centre-back is being chased by several clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona and they will have to come up with a lot of money to sign him.
Both Guus Hiddink and Antonio Conte have shown interest in him and Chelsea will have to make a really big bid to get him. He's one of the players that's more unlikely to get than the others but it is still a realistic signing.
