2. Relying too much on Messi

This has been one of the major problems for Argentina over the years and now it has started to cause them real trouble. The presence of Messi makes others confused about their roles in the team. Apparently, every outfield players of Argentina has only one role in the team, that is to pass the ball to Messi.

Of course, they could not manage it with the elegance of Iniesta and Xavi who used to do this job at Barcelona. Their manager even admitted this claim when he said Messi was clouded by others. Taking only one man to plan your tactics is not a good idea for any team for he can be man marked out of the game.

The reality is, Argentina does not have to rely too much on Messi. They have quality players in Dybala, Aguero, Di Maria, Lo Celso, Banega, and others. Yet they always want them to be a one-man team. Argentina should find a combination where Messi can play with other talents in their squad instead of everyone in the squad playing for Messi.
