#2 Big signings to come?
The continued improvement of Jesse Lingard and others in the squad has granted Mourinho additional depth, but he has made no secret of his desire to spend more money to bring added quality to Manchester United's squad.
The Portuguese manager has already made improvements to United in his tenure. In his three transfer windows to date, Mourinho has signed the considerable talents of Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.
The resources available to him means his squad makeover is happening at a much slower rate compared to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, who had a better starting squad to work with and can sign almost a completely new squad in the space of one off-season.
Nevertheless, Mourinho has shown a keen eye for talent which has enabled him to bring much-improved results to United.
There is still much work to be done, however, and there is no doubting Mourinho will be targeting at least one big name in January and several more in the off-season.
Malcom, the 20-year-old Brazilian forward, could arrive as early as this month with injuries to Ibrahimovic and Lukaku leaving Mourinho short of options up front and there are few things more exciting for United fans than the latest star signing.
United has also shown a keen interest in Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who could well prove to be the final piece of United's midfield puzzle.
