#4 He may thrive under pressure

Throughout his career, and even his whole life, Sterling has had to prove people wrong. When he made the move to Manchester City in 2015, there was a lot of criticism, with many people saying he wasn’t worth the £50 million fee.
Although this seemed to weigh him down in the early stages of his career at City, he has proved himself over the last year and has shown that he is one of the top attacking players in England.
He has matured as well in recent years, so has learned to shut out the negative press that he has constantly received from the media, most of it incredibly harsh. He will want to prove to everyone that he is capable of playing at the highest level, and Real Madrid is certainly at the highest level.
He is certainly someone capable of making the step up, even with the pressure that will undoubtedly be piled on him if he were to move to Real.
