#1 He refuses to spend
It’s been another frustrating transfer window for the Arsenal faithful. Once again, they’ve been promised big names like Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler and Thomas Lemar, instead they’ve signed Alexandre Lacazette and a Bosnian full-back on a free. In the end, the club made a £18million profit this summer, one of the few clubs in the league to do so.
To compete with the best, you must get the best talent and be willing to match their value. Penny-pinching and saving money doesn’t yield results in this game anymore and Wenger’s frugal attitude will only continue to hinder Arsenal for the next 2 years.
