#4 There is still more to come
It would be wrong to think that we have already seen the best of this England side. They may have seen off Colombia and Tunisia and battered Panama, but they haven’t peaked yet. We have seen the likes of Sterling and Alli play for their club sides, and there is no doubt that they have the quality to set this World Cup alight, and the same applies to Marcus Rashford, who we have mainly seen from the bench thus far.
If England can get all of their players performing to the maximum of their potential, then a front line of Alli, Kane and Sterling will rival any at the tournament already. With an impressive back line, and Jordan Pickford justifying his selection as England’s number one, there is a platform for the Three Lions to build on, and they will hope to do just that.
