If there's anyone who can get closest to this record, it's either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo but the two of them might never break the record for the most number of goals in a single La Liga game set way back in 1952.

Athletic Bilbao’s Agustin Sauto Arana set the record against Barcelona in 1931 and Barcelona’s Laszlo Kubala replicated the feat in 1952. Both of them have scored 7 goals in a single La Liga game and hold the record until date.

Messi has scored 4 goals in a single game but is yet to go higher than that. With defences getting tighter and tighter these days, it's a grind week in and week out for Barcelona and especially Messi.
