#1 Go Further Than They've Ever Gone in the Champions League
PSG’s best-ever performance in the Champions League remains their run to the semi-finals in the 1994-95 season, in which a team featuring Paul Le Guen, Rai and George Weah topped a group featuring Bayern Munich and then eliminated Barcelona before falling to reigning champions Milan in the last four.
Despite the money that has been poured into the club in recent years, they have failed to make it past the quarter-final stage in any of the last five seasons. Indeed, last season’s campaign ended at the last-16 stage after Barcelona produced an incredible comeback to overturn PSG’s 4-0 first-leg advantage and advance in their stead.
Maybe things will be different this time around. As long as they avoid a heavy defeat on the final matchday, they will again top a group featuring Bayern Munich. While some question marks remain over the balance of the side, their forwards are among the best in Europe. After many years of underperforming, perhaps this will be the year they finally go all the way.
