Four Serie A matches in and when Ronaldo was yet to score his first Juventus goal, the tongues started wagging and banter was made about how he was past his prime and not worth the amount Juve paid to get him.

However, trust Ronaldo to have the last laugh as he has done throughout his career shaming his detractors and critics and he did so in some style, scoring 10 goals in his next 10 Serie A matches to take him to double figures by the time matchday 14 rolled around.
In doing so, the Portuguese record goalscorer became the first man to score 10 Serie A goals in their first 14 matches since the great Welsh and Juventus legend John Charles did so in 1957/1958 exactly sixty years ago.
