#2. First African player to score 30 goals in a Premier League season
When Mohamed Salah scored 32 EPL goals in the 2017/18 season, it was a record for two reasons. As already covered, in scoring 32 goals, Salah set a new all-time record for total goals scored in a single season, but he set another record in the process as well.
By scoring as many goals as he did in the Premier League last season, Salah became the first African player to score over 30 goals in a single season in the English top flight.
What's particularly special about this record is that it is something that will never be taken away from him by another player in the future. Regardless of long Salah can maintain the stellar form he showed last season, he will always be the first African player to score 30 goals or more in the Premier League.
