It has effectively been the breakthrough year for the 21-year-old German striker Timo Werner, with 14 goals and 4 assists for RB Leipzig as the somehow challenge Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
He made his debut recently for the World Champions Germany ahead of the likes of Mario Gomez and can play all the three positions in the front three. Given that RB Leipzig plays· a very similar style of football to what Atletico Madrid do, Diego Simeone will be licking his lips at the prospect of having another potentially brilliant youngster under his tutelage.
