Easily the best midfielder in France at the moment, Marco Verratti is a target for all of Europe's big clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and more. They all want him and considering the kind of season he's had this year and the last, it seems almost obvious.
Of all the midfielders on this list, Verratti has the highest pass percentage of 93.4% eclipsing everyone else. The fiery Italian – despite his height – is a class act in the centre of the field with his burst of pace and willingness to get the ball back when lost.
He can either play as a lone central midfielder or can partner with a more attacking midfielder. He's only 23 and is growing and getting better with every game. If Manchester United are to lure him away from the Parc des Princes, he will cost a fortune but from the bigger picture, will be a signing that would be worth it – much like the investment on Anthony Martial.
