He looked very impressive throughout the tournament running the show from midfield for England. Though he has not scored a lot of goals, he was composed in possession and created lot of opportunities for his teammates with clever passing.
Pep Guardiola already identified him as a 'special player' and gave him a lot of first-team chances in the summer tour of the United States. He is looking to fast-track him into the first team and we will soon be seeing him in the Premier League.
