The pressure on Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reached new heights after his side were thumped 3-0 by Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.
Four days on from City running out 3-0 winners against the Gunners in the League Cup final at Wembley, the Premier League leaders produced the same result in Thursday’s meeting thanks to first-half goals from Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane.
The match also saw Wenger's side concede three goals at home in the first half of a match for the first time in Premier League history.
In this article, we take a look at five other key stats that stood out from Arsenal’s latest high-profile defeat.
#1 Manchester City equalled Arsenal’s 2016-17 points tally
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League in 2016-17, picking up 75 points along the way.
After Thursday’s emphatic win, Manchester City equalled the tally that their opponents took 38 games to reach last season, while also moving 30 points ahead of them in the table.
City still have 10 games of the campaign still to go, with just 21 points needed to break Chelsea's 2004-05 record of 95 points in a single season.
#2 Manchester City scored with seven successive shots on target
To put shots on target stats into context, the top five scorers in the Premier League (Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Roberto Firmino) have hit the target with 53-61 percent of their shots this season.
Well, Manchester City have taken that stat to new heights in their last three meetings with Arsenal, scoring with seven shots on target in a row.
#3 Arsenal's worst conceding run in 16 years
Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City saw them go a 10th Premier League game in a row without a clean sheet – their worst record in the league since February 2002.
Back then, they went 11 matches without keeping a clean sheet, conceding 15 goals in the process, but they still went on to win the title just three months later.
Something tells us they won’t be so fortunate this season.
#4 Petr Cech still waiting for 200th clean sheet
Petr Cech has been one clean sheet away from a milestone 200 Premier League clean sheets ever since Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Newcastle in mid-December.
Since then, he has conceded 19 goals in 10 league games, including three against Manchester City, Swansea and Liverpool, as well as two in matches against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
#5 Ederson saves penalty at Emirates Stadium before Petr Cech
Arsenal were given a glimmer of hope at the start of the second half when Nicolas Otamendi fouled Henrikh Mkhitaryan inside the area and a penalty was awarded.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stepped up but had his effort saved by Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
That means the Brazilian has saved more penalties (1) than Arsenal’s Petr Cech (0) at the Emirates Stadium.
