#2 No outlet for the United attack

Alexis Sanchez looked lonely in attack and had no support
With every passing game, the curious case of the right side of the United attack looms large. The Liverpool game could be tackled with the right combination of pace and trickery on the wings. United had youngster Mitchell and the static Darmian on the flanks.

None of them provided anything of purpose going forward, although Mitchell did win the free kick that led to United’s goal. True, the lack of a true center forward hurt United the most in this game, but United had non-existent wing-play as well.
Chong did get a run in at the end for the last 20 minutes, but could not affect the game. There was no service for Sanchez playing as a number 9, and the Chilean had to come deep into his own half to pick up the ball.

Although Luke Shaw was not too impressive in the pre-season so far, he would have been a better choice on the left wing. Darmian looks set to be off-loaded, and this game served as a reason.
He looked out of place against the pace of the Liverpool side. This game although was just a pre-season outing, was a clear indication of what United is missing.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
