#1 The City juggernaut isn't going to stop anytime soon

Despite watching so many of their efforts thwarted by a well organised and sturdy defence, Manchester City eked out the results they came here for and Pep Guardiola would hardly be concerned about anything else apart from the injury to John Stones that now limits his options in the centre-back position. It was a pristine evening for him, otherwise.
The former Barcelona gaffer has turned this disjointed side of last season into an unstoppable force that's trampling past anything and everything on their way to glory, this campaign.
Manchester City's superior quality eventually made the difference here too, as they proved there isn't any challenge big enough to stop them. The win was also their six consecutive on road, the longest run of away wins since Chelsea's run of eight in the 2008/09 season.
The Skyblues have effectively banished the difficulties of last season into the dustbin of history, scripting a new story this time around. Just eight months on from their shock ouster from the Champions League to AS Monaco in the last 16, City are currently placed the best amongst all to claim the big prize this season.
Such has been the scale of their improvement.
In the Premier League, though, they're already leading with a healthy margin, and would take some stopping from the rest to bring them down.
