It’s the last match of the season today and Chelsea would obviously like to end the campaign with a win. There are some reasons telling why the Blues may triumph against Everton:
1. Qualification for CL
Chelsea will surely like to win today’s match as to ensure their qualification to CL again, and this time with the intention of winning the trophy. Arsenal are 2 points behind Chelsea and if Rafa’s side fails to win, then maybe Arsenal can qualify for the same if they win against Newcastle.
2. No play-off please!
It is also a reason why the Blues may win. They do not want play-off!! As mentioned above, Arsenal are 2 points behind the Blues, so, if Chelsea draws with Everton and Arsenal wins their match, then there will be no other option left than play-off which is scheduled to take place at Villa Park on 26th May.
3. Mata and Lampard: The duo in form
Chelsea midfielder duo Frank Lampard, who is now the highest goalscorer for the club with 203 goals, and Juan Mata, who is giving fantastic performance in important matches, is in form now and always score goals when needed. The Spaniard has scored 17 goals for the club so far since his move from Valencia in 2011, whereas, Lampard scored 2 goals against Aston Villa last week in their 2-1 win and is now Chelsea’s highest goalscorer breaking the record of Bobby Tambling’s 202 goals for the club.
4. Europa League winning boost
After winning Europa League 2-1 against Benfica at Amsterdam Arena, Chelsea are looking quite happy and boosted for their premier league campaign. They would surely love to continue their winning streak, be it in England or in Europe.
5. Home advantage
Last but not the least, it’s home ground today for the Blues. Surely they will get support of their fans. Cheers, crowd, chantings, anthem, and finally the Blues’ hearts will be with the team today. They may surely win in this type of atmosphere as they would love to celebrate at home with a win.
