#4 Tottenham continue winning run with win over Huddersfield
After a midweek Carabao Cup win over Watford on penalties, Tottenham faced off against Huddersfield Town on Matchday 7 of the Premier League. Pochettino started his side in a 3-4-3 formation, with Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son supporting Harry Kane up front. David Wagner's Huddersfield side lined up in a defensive 3-5-2 formation.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for Tottenham when he headed a cross from Trippier in the 25th minute. The lead doubled in the 34th minute when Huddersfield defender Hadergjonaj fouled Danny Rose in the box, and Tottenham were awarded a penalty which Harry Kane converted. Lucas and Son created many chances in the first half as the first half ended 2-0.
Midway through the second half, Huddersfield changed their formation to enforce a goal in the match. But they were not good enough against a strong Tottenham side, as throughout the second half Tottenham outplayed them in midfield, and the match ended 2-0.
Tottenham are in 4th place on the table with 15 points from 7 games, ahead of Arsenal on goal difference. The next opponents for Tottenham are Barcelona on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League.
