Renowned for his powerful free kicks, especially that incredible goal against France, Carlos is widely regarded as an attacking-minded defender.
Carlos joined Real Madrid in 1996 and became the first-choice left-back at the club.
Despite being a left-back, he often took part in the attacking build-ups and is well known for his inch-perfect cross' and technical skills.
He played 512 games for Real Madrid and scored 67 goals for them. Offensive-minded, right?
He left Madrid after his contract expired in 2007 and had three Champions League medals as well. He was given a befitting farewell as Real Madrid clinched the La Liga trophy on the final day of his departure.
