Real Madrid CF v Club Atletico de Madrid - La Liga
There were many speculations about the Frenchman's future in the summer, but Griezmann ultimately decided to stay at Atletico Madrid for now. His stakes had risen by leaps and bounds after winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, however, Griezmann has been poor by his standards so far this season.

The French Striker scored 29 goals from 49 games last season, including 19 from 32 games in La Liga. This season though, he has managed just 6 goals from 17 games and has scored just 3 from 12 games in La Liga.
He scored his first of the season against Vallecano and then went 3 games without scoring, before finding the back of the net again in the home win over Huesca. This followed another dry spell of 4 games before he scored against Leganes. However, he has scored 3 goals in 4 games in the Champions League.
Since Griezmann is desperate to win the Ballon d'Or as well as not stay in anyone's shadow, these numbers are certainly not acceptable. One can only hope that the Frenchman can get back to goalscoring form soon because his goal drought will affect his chances at glory.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
