#1 Shinji Kagawa to Monaco
Distressed French Ligue 1 side are in desperate need of reinforcements to preserve their top-flight status and as such have made a number of signings in this window, while also terminating the contract of Thierry Henry after the World Cup winner failed to provide the inspiration needed from the dugout.
The club have also identified Japanese international Shinji Kagawa as a player who could help them get out of their dire straits, with the principality club set to sign the former Manchester United man on a loan transfer till the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has found himself massively out of favour ever since the arrival of Lucien Favre in the summer, making just five appearances in all competitions for BVB as Favre has shown a preference for Jadon Sancho, Axel Witsel and Thomas Delaney in the middle of the park.
If Kagawa completes the transfer, he will join the likes of Gelson Martins and Cesc Fabregas as winter arrivals who will seek to prevent Monaco from taking the drop just two seasons after their remarkable Ligue 1 triumph and UCL run.
