#3 Mason Mount | £54 million
Among the best players in the Premier League this season, Mason Mount has enjoyed a stunning rise to the top level.
A product of Chelsea's famed academy, Mount enjoyed loan spells with Vitesse and Derby County before becoming a part of the first-team squad under the management of Frank Lampard. There were doubts raised initially about whether the England international could become a constant in Chelsea's XI.
Mount has responded to those doubts emphatically. A highly versatile and creative player, he has been one of the first names on the team sheet for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. The 22-year-old has already made 102 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 17 goals and providing 14 assists.
#2 Timo Werner | £58.5 million
It has been a season to forget for Timo Werner, with his catalog of missed chances causing frustration among Chelsea fans.
Werner was regarded as a superstar signing when he joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig last summer for a fee of £47.7 million. The 25-year old had been a force to be reckoned with last season for RB Leipzig, scoring 34 goals in 45 games across all competitions.
After heavy speculation linking him with Liverpool, Werner signed for Chelsea. It would be fair to say that the German international has struggled in his debut season, despite posting decent numbers. Werner has made 48 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists. He has been a critical member of Chelsea's attack but has not been a clinical finisher.
#1 Kai Havertz | £63 million
After a poor start to his season, Kai Havertz is slowly showing why Chelsea paid £72 million last summer to acquire him from Bayer Leverkusen.
One of the best young players in the world, Havertz was linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United, but ultimately joined Chelsea. He was seen as a long-term project, but the fee raised eyebrows given that Chelsea were well-stocked in the forward positions.
Nearly a season later, the 21-year-old is still finding his feet at Chelsea. Havertz has made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. He has produced some outstanding performances since Tuchel's arrival and the German international should prove to be a good acquisition for Chelsea.
