#1 Thiago Alcantara
The Spanish midfielder has seen a much better career since Pep Guardiola brought him to Bayern Munich in 2013. Despite coming from Barcelona's famed La Masia, Thiago was unable to cement his place in the Catalan clubs senior team and started just 15 times throughout the 2012/13 season.
Fortunately, he has regained his best form at Bayern after a slow debut season in the Bundesliga. An agile midfielder who can do virtually everything from defending to attacking, Thiago has all that it takes to solve Manchester United's midfield problems.
The English side has lost Ander Herrera who recently confirmed his departure. On the other hand, Pogba has struggled with consistencies while Nemanja Matic has experienced a considerable dip in form. Thus, Thiago will be more than a welcome addition at the club.
He is a versatile player who can set the tempo of the game, play line-breaking passes and efficiently recycle possession. Although he hasn't been linked to United so far, Thiago could be a great option for United to consider in an attempt to boost their midfield.
