Andy Van Der Meyde
Another disappointment for Everton and David Moyes was Andy Van Der Meyde. Though he was initially good, the Dutchman regressed during his stay at the club.
Not only did he have problems adjusting to the pace and strength of the English league, he also had trouble getting along with Moyes too. Though he did stay 4 years at the club, he only made 20 appearances and by the time he left the club, he was way below the pecking order.

Before coming to Everton, he represented the Netherlands in the Euro 2004, but he did not make a single appearance for the Oranje after that.
