The Swiss attacker made the switch to Schalke from Basel as one of the most sought after youngsters in the game. Schalke had to fight off the likes of Manchester United in order to sign the talented winger. Many had thought that United signed Embolo, but somehow Schalke manged to steal him from under their noses.
His life at Schalke was brought to halt just a month into the season last year due to a very serious injury resulting in him missing the entirety of the campaign. Although he was only able to make 10 appearances last year, the fans got to see a glimpse of the potential Embolo possessed and will be looking forward to seeing more from the player this year.
His scary pace and considerable strength will make a him a dangerous player for any defense in the world. With World Cup coming up, the 20 year-old will want to have a full season behind him and hit the heights that most expected of him last season.
