#3 Sergio Battistini
Being a part of Milan's youth squad, Sergio Battistini was promoted to the Rossoneri's senior team in 1980. He made 162 appearances during a challenging period in the club's history, winning only two Serie B titles in 1981 and 1983. The former Italian international played as a defender and occasionally as a deep-lying midfielder.
Battistini is the third-youngest footballer to score a top-flight goal in AC Milan's history. After leaving the red and black side of Milan, he later joined fierce neighbors Internazionale in 1990 where he won two UEFA Cups.
On 20 January 1985, in a Serie A game against Udinese Calcio, Battistini suffered an injury and was substituted at half-time. He was substituted by the legendary Italian defender Paolo Maldini, who made his AC Milan debut.

In 1996, Cappellini became a part of Empoli Football club, where he played as a striker for nine seasons. #1 Gianni Rivera
Giovanni "Gianni" Rivera is one of, if not the greatest, players to don the Gli Azzurri shirt. Dubbed Italy's "Golden Boy," Rivera made his Serie A debut playing for Alessandria at the tender age of 15. After making 20 appearances for his boyhood club, the then-young starlet of Italian football was transferred to AC Milan for a record transfer fee of €200,000.
The Italian midfielder is the youngest-ever player to score a goal for the Rossoneri at 17 years, two months, and 19 days. Rivera spent the majority of his club career playing for AC Milan, where he won the Balon d'Or in 1969. He went on to captain the club for 12 seasons, winning four Serie A trophies and two European Cups. Post-retirement, Rivera became the club's vice-president for seven seasons.
