Mason Mount was one of the star performers for Frank Lampard in his managerial debut season at Derby County last season.

The 20-year-old joined the Chelsea Academy in 2005, aged 6 and signed his first professional contract with the Blues in 2017.

The midfielder who is yet to make an appearance for the Blues spent his first year as a professional in the Dutch professional league with Vitesse before joining Derby on loan last year.

Mason Mount made 44 appearances, scoring 11 goals and making 5 assists for the Rams last season and was the star man in midfield for Frank Lampard.

Unlike Ethan Ampadu and Reece James, Mason Mount has a tougher task ahead of him getting into a talent-packed Chelsea midfield which has the likes of N'Golo Kante, Matteo Kovacic, Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of him in the pecking order.
