Jurgen Klopp is known for getting the best out of young players. His man-management is one of his best assets, so Liverpool fans will feel lucky to have him at the helm.
He likes to discipline his players, however he also gives them the respect they deserve. Obviously, there are a number of young Liverpool starlets who could benefit from Klopp's approach.
From academy graduates to regular first-team stars, Liverpool fans witness young talent everywhere they look. As Salah, Firmino, and Mane look to carry their side in the present, it's important to look ahead to the future.
Cup games are the perfect opportunities for Klopp to analyse his long-term options. Even though he might not stick with Liverpool in the future, he will have this in the back of his mind, and rightly so.
Anyway, enough of the chit-chat, here are 5 young players to look out for when it comes to Liverpool, in no particular order.
#1 Trent Alexander-Arnold (20 years old)
Trent Alexander-Arnold burst onto the scene last season. It was a real breakout season for him, it saw him play in the Champions League final, and he also earned a call-up to Russia with England for the 2018 World Cup, so it was a season of growth to say the least.
Alexander-Arnold shocks many. If you were to watch him on the field without knowing his age, you could easily mistake him for being an experienced star, until you get a closeup shot of his baby face of course.
This is because Alexander-Arnold adopts a mature approach to the game. He does like to bomb forward, however under Klopp he has learned to be more defensively resilient. Nowadays no Liverpool fan worries when players run at him (yep, even Cristiano Ronaldo).
Working under Jurgen Klopp, he will know everything he needs to improve, and he will be given instructions on how to do so. But at the end of the day, the drive will come from inside him, so he should seek to bring that out.
#2 Rhian Brewster (18 years old)
Rhian Brewster is yet to make his competitive Liverpool debut, but it doesn't make him any less talented. For the England U17 side, he has scored 20 goals in just 23 appearances. That's quite a feat, and it's indicative of his work.
As you can probably guess by that statistic, his best position is playing as a striker. His deadly finishing ability from a wide range of positions is what makes him an exciting prospect.
Having suffered an injury scare last season, he is in the process of rebuilding from his fine start to his career. He has plenty of time to do so, obviously, as he ages at just 18. It will also give Liverpool fans plenty of reassurance to know he signed a long-term contract in the summer, so he isn't going anywhere in the near future.

#3 Ben Woodburn (19 years old)
Ben Woodburn is on loan at Sheffield United, but he shouldn't be discounted. He has mostly featured as a substitute for Sheffield United. This isn't ideal, but he has looked solid whenever he has come from the bench.
He is Welsh, so he is in good company on international duty. Learning from Gareth Bale and Ryan Giggs is by no means a bad position to be in. Bale and Giggs are some of the best in their positions throughout history, so Liverpool fans will be more than delighted.
Should he take the advice of these authority figures, then Woodburn will surely flourish into a star. Upon arriving back with Jurgen Klopp, he's only going to learn even more about the game. Liverpool will reap all the benefits, continuing their fine attacking legacy.
#4 Joe Gomez (21 years old)
Joe Gomez is pivotal to Liverpool for a number of different reasons. However, none more so than his immense versatility. It seems he can play anywhere across the back-line, which is a valuable asset for Jurgen Klopp to have.
This season he has appeared 15 times for Liverpool. That's quite an impressive statistic, considering he is in competition for places with Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren. Whenever he plays, the Liverpool fans have no complaints. He is always solid off the ball, and confident with the ball at his feet. All of this combines to make him a real prodigy.
Should he excel, then he needs to make the most of his surroundings. He must take lessons on board from Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren, both have plenty to teach about the game.
#5 Kamil Grabara (19 years old)
If you're a neutral, chances are you might not be familiar with Kamil Grabara. Well, Steven Gerrard definitely is, and he's come out to praise the young shot-stopper plenty of times in the past. When a Liverpool legend is a fan of his work, then you know he's in for a stellar career.
Grabara has impressed in Liverpool's youth ranks over the last few seasons. He is a regular starter, and he makes things difficult for opposing strikers.
Obviously, Liverpool recently signed Alisson. This means Grabara can focus on his time learning in the youth ranks before being promoted to the first team.
He is the ideal backup for Allison, as he offers a new dynamic. Where Alisson likes to play with the ball at his feet, Grabara is known to keep the ball out by whatever means necessary. It's his goal, and the furthest he can keep the ball away from it, the better
