#4 Mason Greenwood
The English youngster, just 17 years of age, has given the United fans a ray of hope that they might have the next big star on their hands. Mason Greenwood has previously shone with the youth teams, scoring 42 goals and assisting a further 12 in 49 appearances. That is a formidable return considering he has played at the Under-23 level with much more experienced players.
He has shown no signs of nervousness when playing with the senior squad in the preseason, demonstrating his class with a phenomenal goal against Inter which turned out to be the winner. He picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box, cut inside hard on his left foot, and fired home through a sea of opposition players. His pace and ability to drift into spaces, combined with a lethal finish have propelled him into consideration for more regular action next season.
With Romelu Lukaku seemingly on the move to Italy, there could be more room for Greenwood in the squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided not to send him out on loan and even compared him to Ryan Giggs. This could be the season Greenwood stars at the Old Trafford.
