#2 Phil Foden
Phil Foden has long been touted to be one of the stars to emerge from the Manchester City youth setup. When David Silva announced that he will be retiring at the end of this season, all eyes turned to the local boy Phil Foden.
Foden displayed his quality in the Euro Under-21 in Italy this summer when he scored arguably the best goal of the tournament against France. The midfielder dribbled past half of the French team before slotting the ball in the corner. When England won the Under-17 World Cup, Foden was awarded the Golden Ball for being the best player in the tournament.
Foden has made 38 first-team appearances under Pep Guardiola in two seasons and this could well be the season when the 19-year-old becomes a regular featurer for Manchester City. The fans would love to see an academy star making his mark on the big stage.
