Romelu Lukaku has started his Everton career perfectly with five goals in five games and a shot accuracy of 77%. What’s more things have got even better for the powerful forward as he is the Belgian is Squawka’s Young Premier League Player of the Weekend following his winning display at Villa Park.
Lukaku scored the opening goal in superb fashion. He ran onto the ball and smashed it into the bottom corner without taking a touch to shock the Aston Villa fans who’d seen their team dominate for long periods and not score.
His goal gave Everton the momentum and soon after they scored another to secure the three points and momentarily move up to third in the Premier League.
Against Aston Villa, Lukaku completed 16 out of 21 passes, with an accuracy of 76%.
Lukaku took six attempts against Villa, with a shot accuracy of 75%.
Surprisingly, the powerful Belgian won just four of his 13 headed duels but successfully completed 50% of his take-ons.
Lukaku was also vital in defence, completing four clearances inside his own penalty area.
His Heat Map was very impressive, too. He was imposing in and around Villa’s final third, covering a lot of the pitch and causing problems throughout.
His Squawka Performance Score came to an impressive 49, eight ahead of Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse who created six goalscoring chances compared to Lukaku who created no goalscoring chances.

Lukaku scored a 55 for his attacking performance, 26 ahead of second-placed Luke Shaw.
The Belgian has started his season exceptionally at Everton after a couple of short appearances for Chelsea and he seems to be getting better with each passing week. For his age, Lukaku is fantastic and already feels like he’s been a top Premier League striker for years.
If he keeps up these types of performances, he could easily go on to challenge the likes of Sergio Aguero, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez for the Golden Boot at the end of the season.
