The Blaugrana have been efficient if not overly spectacular for the entirety of the campaign and have Lionel Messi to thank, as the Argentine has been on a mission this season to reclaim his pride of place.
Barca have scored 61 LaLiga goals this season and of these, 22 have been scored by their mercurial number 10, while he has also contributed 10 assists for teammates (both league highs) to help Barcelona consolidate their standing atop the league table.
Their focus though would be on the continent as it is there that the Catalans have floundered massively in recent years and would seek to win the most prestigious prize in club football for the sixth time in their history.
