As PSG wrapped up the Ligue 1 title with eight games to go, the race is still on for second place and a guaranteed spot in the Champions League. But despite being the second best team in Ligue 1, Monaco are just as close to PSG in terms of points earned as they are to 18th placed GFC Ajaccio.

Sitting on 55 points, the cash-rich side recently beat PSG 2-0 at home but remain 22 points away from the league champions who currently sit on 77 points.

While second place in Ligue 1 is no mean feat considering the high quality of PSG, the fact that Monaca are also 22 points away from GFC Ajaccio, who sit in the relegation zone on 33 points, really shows the gap in quality between PSG and the rest of the league.
