#2 Eden Hazard
It’s no secret that Real Madrid have coveted Eden Hazard for quite a while – the Belgian superstar has always been on Florentino Perez’ wishlist. After a season which saw his star fall as he experienced a goal-drought, Hazard has come back spectacularly in 2016/17, ramming the words of critics down their throats.
With 16 goals and 7 assists so far this season, Hazard is experiencing one of his most productive seasons ever, as he thrives in Chelsea’s 3-4-3 formation. His talent is without question, and if Real Madrid are able to tempt the Belgian trickster into leaving the Premier League, they are arguably getting an upgrade on Gareth Bale.
Hazard primarily operates as a left-wing forward, the role occupied by Cristiano Ronaldo, but he also has experience playing on the opposite wing in his younger years for Lille. Being primarily right footed, the Belgian would have to become more of a provider – a role he’s grown more accustomed to as he matures.
