Paco Alcacer-led Dortmund are flying high

With Bayern Munich stuttering after a recent patchy run, Borussia Dortmund have taken the opportunity with both hands and currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga table with five victories and zero defeats. Oh, and also four points clear of Bayern.

Two draws from the opening four games hinted at another erratic season, but huge victories in the last three games - including the 7-0 shellacking of newcomers FC Nurnberg - has propelled the Yellow Submarine to the summit as the only unbeaten side in the division.

Loan signing Paco Alcacer has a huge say in this amazing run, netting six times already. He also bagged a hattrick after coming from the bench in the edgy 4-3 win over Augsburg last weekend. More summer arrivals like Achraf Hakimi and Abou Diallo have impressed too, as the team continued to ride on a prolific attack.

These are only the initial weeks and Dortmund's longevity would be tested in the coming time, but the fine start to the campaign holds Lucien Favre's side in a good stead.
