Tottenham Hotspur have valued Gareth Bale at £60m, and Real Madrid are reportedly keen to sign him as replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who is rumoured to be all set to leave the club this season.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy weighs Bale to be one of the most highly-rated players in the world along the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and Falcao. Despite the club’s public insistence that Bale is not for sale, it looks like that this will be his last season at White Hart Lane.
Real started bidding for their primary target Bale with £33m, but the Spurs aren’t going to make it that easy for Real.
A source from the club told Daily Mirror : “Real are prepared to push very hard for Gareth and there are not too many better players in the world than him right now.”
Real Madrid might try to offer a lot of players as a part of the deal including Fabio Coentrao, a long-standing target of Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, to land Gareth Bale in the club.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have joined the race for Newcastle United striker Demba Ba, taking advantage over his £7.5m release clause.
