#4 Gylfi Sigurdsson
Everton's record signing, Sigurdsson, picked up a knee injury while playing against Brighton and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
However, further tests reveal that he would be sidelined for six to eight weeks. This means that, even though his season has come to a stop, he could still play for Iceland this summer if he doesn't suffer any other setback.
With Iceland hoping to replicate their extraordinary Euro 2016, the fans would be hoping Sigurdsson is fit as he was a key player in the tournament.
#3 Manuel Neuer
After being out for seven months due to a metatarsal injury, the Bayern keeper returned back to training for the 1st time on 20th April. Being out for the entire season, it seems very little for the 32-year-old to play in Russia this summer.
The Germany coach, Joachim Loew is set to name his provisional squad on May 15th and as things stand, Neuer is not expected to make the cut.
Neuer has been an outstanding keeper for his club and country over the past years. Things could have been very different for Bayern had he played in the Champions League.
Loew would be hoping that his absence does not hurt Germany's chances of retaining the cup.
