#6 Rivaldo
Rivaldo was the first non-European to win all three honours in question.
The Brazilian spent five seasons at Barcelona between 1997 and 2002 and it was in 1999 while playing for the Catalan club that he won the Ballon d’Or.
In 1999, he won the La Liga and Copa America. He scored 5 goals during the Copa America which was a joint highest with his teammate Ronaldo and two of his goals were in the final against Uruguay. He was also named the tournament’s best player.
In 2002, he was a crucial member of the Brazil team that won the World Cup and like in the 1999 Copa America, Rivaldo ended the tournament with five goals to his name with each one coming against a different opposition.
In the same year, he left Barcelona to join AC Milan but he was reduced to a squad player at the club during his two-year stint there. Nevertheless, Rivaldo won the UEFA Champions League with Milan in his first season although he was left on the bench in the final against Juventus.
