#2 Dion Dublin
While Dublin never gained worldwide fame, he was a famous and much-loved professional of his time in Britain. You may have seen him as a football pundit on TV, but Dublin is not anything like your typical professional footballer.
Among footballers with tangible musical ability, Dion Dublin ranks very high up the ladder. The former Norwich, Manchester United and Aston Villa striker is a skilled percussionist who is capable of tearing it up for many famous bands on stage.
The 4-times capped England international has famously devised an instrument called ‘The Dube’, which is somewhat similar to a Cajon. In the past, Dublin has played for groups like Ocean Colour Scene – for whom he played live at the University of East Anglia.
