A letter to Liverpool fans - From a Chelsea fan

Dear Liverpool fans,

Still hurt from Nando’s move to West London? You know, you amuse us. I mean I know the real fans who live in the present and have each and every hope of reliving their history once again but some of you are just pathetic. Each and every single argument doesn’t mean that your bring up your vast history. Yes do remind us here and there but don’t always make it your lifeline in an argument. You are probably the greatest club in England and another thing I have noticed is complaining about our atmosphere. You have about 4,000 more seats in your stadium, but our fans don’t create enough atmosphere as much as your fans and yet we manage to win more than 4 trophies in 3 years. Ironical, nay? Rewinding our meetings, we have a great rivalry against each other which came to its greatest heights when Mourinho graced the English Premier League. I know how much you guys miss Benitez, trust me we’ve been through that as well. We are more prominent in the population of plastic fans or glory-hunters. Agreed, I get irritated as well when I see a plastic fan say he wants to build the entire club in money and if you do insult them, I would gladly pat you on the back. We have the money but it’s not our fault is it? We were the lucky few to be picked by mega-rich business man, you don’t have to be jealous about that.

Personally, I respect you. I wish Chelsea had a glorious history likes yours and hope you recover from your dreadful slump. Though our history can’t be compared to yours we still do have a decent one. Your team just needs a manager; you have a decent team that is more than just good enough to win the League title. We have ignorant fans, you have ignorant ones too. Both of us have world-class players, some of the best in the world. You have got your trophies, we have got trophies maybe fewer in number. Then why all the hate? Love has never been with us and I know Liverpool fans who I have watched matches with. In the beginning, it’s just a bit of banter but as the tension level rises, your blurt out words which you never wanted to say as you had suppressed them completely in your voice box. Seen how friendly Gerrard and Lampard are? Then why should we fans be different. We have beaten each other and though the history of our meetings give a very violent picture, there should never be much love lost. ‘You’ll never walk alone’ or being Carefree would not mean anything because when a dark cloud comes over the beautiful game, you best be praying that we are united no matter what the differences are .

Justice to the 96, You’ll Never Walk Alone.

No matter who you support, always have hope and remain Carefree.
