Hannover’s Norwegian international striker Mohammed Abdellaoue is on the brink of moving to Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart, Hannover president Martin Kind told the Stuttgarter Zeitung daily.
“Stuttgart can count on Abdellaoue. We know he wants to go to VfB and we want to make his wish come true,” Kind told the paper in an article that will appear tomorrow.
“I will contact Stuttgart soon, next week at the latest,” he added.
It is believed the Swabians have offered 3.5 million euros for the 27-year-old striker, who would become their sixth summer signing.
New Zealand’s Marco Rojas, Konstantin Rausch from Hannover and Daniel Schwaab from Bayer Leverkusen are among the players to have already signed up.
Stuttgart finished 12th in this season’s Bundesliga but will play in next season’s Europa League after losing to Bayern Munich in the German Cup final.
