Aberystwyth Town troll Manchester United over lack of European football

Welsh minnows Aberystwyth Town have trolled three-time European champions Manchester United over their lack of European football next season.

The Welsh club, who finished seventh in the Welsh Premier League last season, have already started their qualification for the Europa League due to finishing so low down in the league.

They have to start in the first qualifying round of the Europa League and play several rounds before they can reach the group stages, which is well out of their reach.

However, on their travels, they have taken to Twitter to troll Manchester United, who also finished seventh in the Premier League last season, and will not be playing European football next season.

United won the title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge but then, in David Moyes’ first season, they finished way down in seventh competing with Tottenham and Southampton for the final Europa League place, which is far beyond what they usually achieve.

Louis van Gaal has now taken the reigns at United and will look to challenge for the Premier League title next season, giving the fans something cheer about, unlike last season’s abysmal performance.

They had posted the following tweet a few days ago.
