AC Milan are not quite done in the transfer market it seems with reports emanating from Italy that the Serie A club have now turned their sights on Liverpool’s young Spanish midfielder, Suso.
The reports suggest that the Rossoneri are set dive back into the Premier League to bolster their squad after securing the services of Fernando Torres from Chelsea yesterday on a two-year loan deal.
Suso is in a precarious position at Anfield with his contract coming to end at the end of this season and Milan see this as an opportunity to pry the talented winger away from Anfield. The 20-year old spent last season on loan at La Liga side Almeria.
In his short time at the Andalusian club, Suso proved that he has what it takes to play at the highest level enjoying a fairly successful season in which he started 26 games for Almeria in La Liga. His tally of 3 goals and 7 assists in these games should provide enough proof to Brendan Rodgers that he is now ready to take the next step in career at Anfield.
However, Suso is yet to feature in any of Liverpool’s game so far this season, leading to speculation that the Spaniard might well be on his way out of Anfield.
Meanwhile, Suso’s live-by-the-sword, die-by-the sword brand of football might be exactly what AC Milan need to inject some much needed excitement to their squad with the Italian giants finishing a lowly eighth in Serie A table last season. This gives ample reason for Inzaghi and co. to keep Suso firmly in their sights.
