Adam Johnson joins Sunderland!

Out of favour, Manchester City winger Adam Johnson has finally signed for Sunderland, amidst growing speculations. This looks like a very smart move, favouring both the parties. Johnson will get a lot of playing time and Manchester City, on the other hand, can re-use the funds they got from the transfer. City have been very cautious with their transfers, this season, due to the FFP rule which comes into force, next year. City are in the pole position to sign Scott Sinclair as his replacement.

It is Martin O’ Neill’s second signing of the window just after signing Steven Fletcher from Wolves, for an initial fees of £12m. The Sunderland manager is also looking for options to strengthen their defence and is in the pole position to sign Michael Dawson, from Tottenham.
