On January 25, 2016, Adidas made a blockbuster announcement. Adidas unveiled the next generation of its popular Ace football boots. Adidas Ace 15.1 was part of the football revolution and it hit the footballing world like a storm last year. Ace 16.1 succeeds Ace 15.1. Can the 16.1 outdo and outperform the 15.1?

Like Ace 15.1, the brand new Ace 16.1 is also for the player who wants to control the game.

Adidas Ace 16.1 will certainly standout on the pitch. The launch colorway features a solar green upper along with pink and black decals. We see Adidas’s iconic three stripes on the upper of this beautiful football boot. We see Adidas branding on heel area. The conical studs on the outsole come in pink too. This is a very bold strategy from Adidas and we love it.

Adidas’s Ace 16.1 Primeknit features Adidas’s revolutionary woven Primeknit material in the upper. This material offers top-class ball control. Best part about this shoe – Primeknit material covers the entire upper. Along with this, we also see an engineered 3D structure on the upper that offers additional ball control. This is definitely a plus. Specially engineered knit zones across the upper combine different stitch patterns. This makes sure that these football boots adapt to your feet effortlessly. This structure is similar to what we see on Adidas’s Ace 15.1. On the other hand, the regular Ace 16.1 will not feature a Primeknit upper. Rather, it will feature an engineered synthetic upper.

Primeknit Upper

A die-cut EVA insole is very light and offers great comfort. Adidas introduced a brand new lining on the inside of the heel area that offers additional comfort. Except a snug fit with this football boot.

We also see a brand new sole plate with this football boot. Along with this, we see a brand new internal knit system that runs up to the ankle, which secures that feet and ultimately offers added stability. Expect unparalleled lockdown with this football boot. Improved sprint frame construction ensures that there is ultimate balance and tremendous control.

The latest version of Adidas Ace football boots will not feature a second level of conical studs on the outsole. Rather, we see a more traditional design. We see four studs in the heel area along with seven studs in the forefoot area that offer supreme rotational agility.

Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit retails at £185 i.e., around 18,500INR. Additionally, Adidas also released Ace 16.1 with a leather upper. This football boot retails at £155 i.e., around 15,500INR. While the regulate Adidas Ace 16.1 retails at £150 i.e., around 15,000INR.

Adidas also unveiled a laceless version of Ace 16.1 called as Adidas Ace 16+ Purecontrol, which is based on Adidas 16+ GTI. Adidas Ace 16+ Purecontrol retails at £230 i.e., around 23,000INR.
