Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has tipped teammate Ryan Giggs to play for another five years, labelling the Welshman’s achievements as “unbelievable.” Giggs celebrated his 40th birthday earlier this season, but has already made eight league appearances for David Moyes’s side this season. The elder statesman of the Old Trafford side, Giggs took up a player coach role in the summer and Januzaj also spoke of the help that Giggs has given him.
The Belgian was full of praise for Giggs, saying: “Ryan is a legend, totally unbelievable.”
Januzaj has made ten appearances for United this year, in what has been his breakthrough season. The 18-year-old is 22 years Giggs’s junior and has been benefitting from his the experience that player/coach Giggs has to offer.
‘If I don’t know what to do on the pitch, I just go to Ryan and ask him what I need to improve on,” said Januzaj.
Giggs is well into the twilight of his career, but his young midfield colleague doesn’t believe that he is showing any signs of slowing down, tipping him to continue his career beyond this season.
“He helps me a lot – and he can still carry on for a bit yet,” continued Januzaj. “He is 40 but I think he could play for another five years.”
