Hailed as the heir of Legendary Iranian footballer Ali Daei, Sardar Azmoun has scored an astonishing 23 goals for his side in 38 appearances.
Azmoun temporarily retired from International football after Iran’s exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup due to intense criticism received from the fans and to support her ailing mother.
He returned to the Iranian National Team after a span of three months in October 2018, which gave him enough time to prepare for the AFC Asian Cup.
