Iran were giving away cheap possessions in danger areas and panicked a lot to find their teammates until Mehdi Taremi put the Whites in front in the 12th minute. With the momentum on their side, they took full advantage of it by running riot on Yemen.
It is no doubt that luck played a big part in Dejagah's freekick which went in after ricocheting off the goalkeeper's head into the back of the net. The third goal was too easy for Mehdi as he was not marked.

Sardar Azmoun's all-around game was outstanding, and he struggled to find his finishing touch. But, in the second half, he slotted into the back of the net when he had a chance from close range.
It was a very well worked set-piece routine for the fifth goal from a free-kick which concluded a thoroughly rampant performance.
