Iran' full-backs Ramin Rezaeian and Ehsan Hajsafi produced stellar performances through either of the flanks. They were causing havoc to Yemen's defence, and contributed well to their defensive part of the game too.

Ramin's ball found Mehdi Taremi who had to head the ball inside the net. It was a delicious ball which had only one end product. Yemen duo Al Matari and Addin Mahdi were convincingly rattled throughout the game.
Ehsan was caught out on defence when Yemen had a majority of possession in the first few minutes, but grew into the game and did a great job to gain a clean sheet out of it. He took the free-kick for the fifth goal, which was a very well worked one.
These two players put a huge shift to make things happen for Iran in this game. They did plenty of running up and down the pitch.
