Margao, April 21 (IANS) The All India Football Federation (AIFF) entered into a partnership with DFB (German Football Association) aimed at technical collaboration here on Tuesday.
AIFF general secretary Kushal Das signed the agreement with Markus Weidner, director, coach education and international relationship, DFB, an AIFF release said.
The AIFF had previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japan Football Association in February this year. The partnership will put emphasis on the education of coaches, grassroots programme and youth development.
Das hoped the partnership will pave the way at improving the overall standard of Indian football.
"It's an extreme honour to enter into an agreement with the German Football Association. This partnership will usher in an overall technical development for Indian Football," he said.
"Germany are the World Champions and that they have been the most consistent Team in the World speaks about their approach to the game. Indian Football will only further benefit from here on."
